The proof that no one is taking Dellums seriously is the eye rolling that is the general reaction to his 'we will change the world'. Oh please! If there's one thing that history teaches is that people who say they will change the world are either full of it and just blowing smoke up people's asses for one reason or the other, or they are dead serious and very very scary. Since we all know that Dellums doesn't have the work ethic to be really scary, everyone with a brain discounts this 'change the world' crap. As we all predicted, what we're in for is most likely a four year holding pattern. Of course, like the other holding patterns Oakland has had to endure is just one massive opportunity cost while other cities, not so burdened with saints and their heavenly visions, actually do the work of developing their assets and actually creating real jobs and industries. It's back to the future of 1984 all over again! Yea!
